While the position may sound like it’s a simple administrative move, it is actually quite complicated. The health department is required to notify Barrow County Health Services, Barrow County, and the Barrow County Board of Commissioners of their intent to hire an employee, and they must also provide the applicant with a written application, salary range, and a resume.

The health department has a lot of responsibilities, including those that are administrative in nature. It is expected to hire new employees who will be familiar with the health department’s systems and procedures, as well as those who will be familiar with the health department’s clients and/or the Barrow County community. So if you are looking for a healthcare tech who is familiar with the health department’s systems, you are probably wasting your time.

We’re not talking about someone who is just a casual healthcare tech who’s familiar with the health department systems. Many healthcare techs and even some mid-level directors will go to college before they ever become a regular health tech. It takes time to learn the systems, and it takes time to get comfortable with the systems as a whole. Even with proper education, the health department is not a particularly good fit for you.

Barrow County, home of Barrow, Colorado, is the largest county in Colorado, and the second largest in the state. It is also the poorest county in the state. That means that the health department does not have a great deal of experience with the health care systems of the region.
